I'm not sure if it was just a bad day or the fact that I was pregnant and had the nose of a hound dog, but holy hell it was bad.
The pharmacy is pretty good here, though not without its annoyances. Most of the checkers are friendly and fast, although there are one or two whose lines I avoid due to a nasty demeanor. Like, I'm sorry if my order is too large for you.. but this is a grocery store and I'm shopping for a family of 4 for the month!
Update: haven't run into any unfriendly checkers lately, and the store has hired a much needed security guard. Although I'll be honest, he looks to be civilian from a private security co when they could really use an off duty police officer. It's that serious. I don't go after dusk anymore.
This a busy, urban location. Be sure to lock your car, and do not engage with anyone who approaches you in the parking lot.
Good - convenient location but some of the parking.lot dwellers can make it uncomfortable. A security guard would save the store some money as I have been in the parking lot 3 times when people have run past me with handbadkets full of groceries they have stolen. If I've seen it 3 times then it probably happens A lot. Nice manager Corey.
The pic attached to this review of a car flipped on its side, a person sitting on the curb getting ready to go to jail, and police response in front of this Safeway lot is unfortunately not entirely out of the ordinary.
Good news about that is that I suddenly became self conscious after being able to smell her pits and bad breath so I bought deodorant, gum, and body spray... So I guess she'd be great for sales, but not for bakery...
This is a smaller Safeway (bigger one is 1-2 mi south on Evergreen) and it's great when you have to pick up a few basic things. I have never seen anyone check out a full shopping cart. Their baby section isn't very big. Lines can get very long during peak hours. Staff is very helpful and kind. Like the other reviewers say, the parking lot can be ugly. Because it's a high volume store, cars go in and out all the time. I've seen 5 cars pull out of their spots at the same time in one row. Sometimes it's hard to see and sometimes people don't look and back out so you really have to be careful. Also, watch out for sketchy people on the way to your car.
Don't set your purse down in the cart without buckling it in. Last Halloween while choosing pumpkins with my kids I nearly got my purse snatched right out of my cart.
Well don't get me wrong this is the closest grocery store to me so I continue to shop there. Staff is totally fine and nice, store is rather clean and organized. The problem with this store is I have seen car prowlers on several occasions and last year while picking out pumpkins in front of the store with my family a woman charged at my mother and I and attempted to snatch my purse off my shoulder. The store itself is fine but definitely keep your wits about you.
So I went to visit family and went to this store which was nice, good break from the road, aside from this girl in the bakery who smelled so bad it made me not want to buy anything from there. I did manage to get her first name from her tag, Brook..
