I fully understand you charge labor and it's hard to give a quote but this was beyond ridiculous in my mind. I asked who owned this company and they said it was locally owned by someone named Meyer or Myer I don't know how it's spelled.
These guys are quick!! And even though i only had a hundred dollars, they still were willing to come out and rekey my locks. I don't think that i have ever been so relieved to have paid a hundred bucks to anyone, as i was with Patrick!! He knew what he was doing, my old key no longer works, old roommates won't be bothering me anymore!!! Thanks Locksmith Plus!
I guess I will never know what the criteria is for labor charges there. :) I do NOT recommend this company.
I don't mind paying reasonable rates for service, but I had my car towed once for the same amount of money.
I decided to call the company and talk to someone about why the labor was so high. Needless to say I was told the only thing they could do was call the technician and have him talk to me about why he charged so much. This is funny because if he is in charge of deciding why did he have to call someone. I just can't reconcile the time and effort to the cost and I'm not buying it was due to the air pump equipment. They reminded me of blood pressure cuff bladders that gently push out the window frame to get the wand through.
I had to come here for my mother this place was so cool. They were very nice to talk to and I learned a lot from them. This is the #1 place i will ever recommend to anybody.
Employee said he knew how to fix the special lock I had which was broken. He did not. But he gave me a great smile as he took my $20.00 for the charge.
I didn't ask for my money back or anything I just wanted to voice my concern and complaint as a customer. I got told again there was nothing he could do but have the tech talk to me and he had three people on hold.
I'm giving one star because of the pricing and the fact they wait till they are there to lay a whopper on you. I think I got fed a line about why it was so expensive to open my car because they had to pump air bags around the window to slip a flexible wand though and push the lock button. I was told it would cost 190.00 but then he made a call and I got a discount and was charged 180.00 otherwise the price would have been 230.00 total with taxes and stuff. When I called and scheduled the appointment I was told it was 29.00 for the service fee but she applied a coupon to bring it 19.00 and the labor started at 35.00. They asked me the make and model of the car so I figured they should know what it would take to get into the car. I was not expecting to be told the charges would be 190 let alone 230 or even 180. It took him 30 minutes of effort. Needless to say I will be doing my best to never lock my keys in my car again and I sure will be getting a firmer price if I ever need to use such a service again.
When he was having trouble hitting the lock button he asked me something about going through the back seat to get into the car. I would have hated to find out what that would cost me.
I called for an unlock service and found out that my keys were gone!! Patrick arrived so fast and he gave me a great price on getting my car unlocked and a new key made so i could get back on the road and home to my family! Thank you so much!! I would reccommed this company to everyone i know!!!
There is a nice locksmith van in this picture but this guy showed up in a gray mini van no signs on it. Live and learn I guess. If I had not been pressed to get unlocked and get home today because I was giving someone a ride from the park and ride home I would have just sat it out and waited for my son to get off work and bring me a key.
