I went during the weekend and it wasn't crowded. There are still a lot of stores and they're fun too take your time shopping. Macy's is gone but they have Old Navy. They also have Burlington Coat Factory and they have the cinema. I saw a couple security cars driving through the parking lot but I was with someone so I felt safe. I'm not sure what it's like at night when it's dark but during the day on a weekend it felt safe. They have lots of other stores in the same parking lot but not in the mall so it still pays to go there for shopping for me
Great location with an upside of being the lesser well known of the two local malls. Just as many Great stores with some lower prices and (in my opinion [...obviously :)]) and even friendly group of employees. With An Incredible Movie theatre attached and less that one block away a Best Buy, Walmart, Pets Mart, Half Price Books, and about a dozen other stores that make shopping at or near this mall the Hands down choice. Enjoy!
Everett Mall, like many malls, is moribund. From what I hear, it has recently been sold and will probably be changing soon. But for a small suburban mall that's not doing very well, it does have some nice features. The food court is small but has some well-chosen restaurants, including a Mediterranean place, an A&W, and a better than average Mexican restaurant with really nice owners. My family also likes the small children's play area, where our 18 month old likes to have fun during the winter months. The mall also has a pretty good Regal movie theater. If you must visit a mall and don't have a particular shopping destination in mind, skip the traffic at Alderwood and throw Everett some love.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy going here at times. The theater is good and has good sound. There is still a Sears there where you can get deals. There is never a wait at the food court. But the loss of anchor stores have left Everett Mall lacking. It doesn't have the cheerful bustle you find at other malls. The are several box store that share the parking lot that add value. There are also three good breweries nearby.
Much cleaner than it was in the 90s. A decent place to shop and it has the best movie theater in the area as well as plenty of food options in the area.
