Anyhow, the tour was awesome.
Went here for a tour a few months back. The mandatory goggles seem like overkill and are just there to cover their butt. Was very informative and interesting. Boeing is a great company that cares about its employees and building a quality product. Its amazing what they have to go through to churn out one of their planes.
We had a plant tour September 2007.
I remember what she said in explaining the 747 assembly facilities: "if it would be a Boeing, I wouldn't going". This saying is still in my brain. I like that aircraft and trust in the quality. Even when aircraft companies force aircraft producers to extend the number of seats. Sometimes I feel like seating in a Thai bus, so narrow are the seating rows. Boeing should act against those demands.
Get ready for the largest building in the country. This place is massive. Everything is big. Really enjoyed the tour. Very organized and stream line tours. Enjoyed very much.
