It's a good place for homeless people to have a place to shill, and sleep. But I wouldn't let my 11yr old daughter go there alone. And the play toys are pretty crappy, but it does have a good spinner, which everyone loves.
Attended the Bayside Neighborhood National Night Out Against Crime Ice Cream Social. Got to meet many members of the law enforcement and fire department. There was music, games, prizes and fun for all.
Decent park. One of the few left with a Merry go round! My daughter loves to go as fast as possible. Toy structure is coompact with a good variety of features. There is a gazebo but has been fenced off for a long while?
They have a playground for kids but didn't seem very safe. Lots of homeless and drug deading going on. People nodding out in the park. I wouldn't take my kids back there. Police came and searched people who had stolen a iPad and iPhone from someone at the casino. Not safe for kids to play in my opinion.
Wonderful park to spend time at! Plenty of space to either sit down by a tree and read, or play on the playground equipment with the kids! Right across the street from a church, and in a lovely neighborhood.
No public restrooms, but there is a Burger King within a 2 block walk.
