Great place to take the kids! There is a large play area and you can also go fishing.
I'm giving it 4 stars because they don't allow dogs, there is a far side of this park that could easily turn into a dog area and I would love to see this as an option as I enjoy coming here.
This park is a very nice place with good facilities, not the best but still good. If you're planning on swimming here in the summer the water is cold, there are no life guards, but there are some shallows that children usually cover (the area is marked by buoys). An ice cream truck stays parked in the area for the summer months. The place is a really safe park, has a nice playground for the little ones, and is beautiful even for just a stroll!
The park is well kept, a few bits of rubbish here and there but nothing major. Their are a lot of people here every time we have been, if you don't like crowds I wouldn't recommend this park. However, the parking lot is large so you never have to worry about finding parking.
However, if you don't have a dog and enjoy the water this is the place for you. There are always families having picnics and BBQ's. The docks allow you to go swimming, kayaking etc. It's got a large kids playground which the children seem to enjoy.
We went here wanting to bring our dogs thinking it would be a nice short walk from our house. Dogs are not allowed in this park.
