The rental agents were very friendly and helpful! The RV was in Excellent condition and I was well informed by the time I was ready to leave! Only complaint was a little bit longer of a wait then expected. However I watched six different ppl pull up extremely early most of which didn't make reservations times!
I can understand the complaints I read about slow service. When someone is starting out on a trip, they are anxious to just get on the road. The team at Cruise America, though, encourages everyone to look over their gear and be sure that they understand what they've got and how it works before they leave the lot. Some people need a little extra time, and so you get a customer backup. I would rather they take this extra time than rush people out the door just to keep on schedule.
The "truck" part of it ran great and drove well. The " motorhome" part of it was dated and Well Used but all the systems worked well. Inside was not very clean but all and all, was a good experience !
Terrible customer service! Spent over $3500.00 to rent through Cruise America on our family vacation beginning in Washington. Waited 40 minutes to even have the understaffed rental agent make eye contact! I told a staff member our name & reservation # & was told it would be another 1 & 1/2 hours because we did not have an appointment. 2 days before our Trip I called Cruise America to check on the reservation, No One discussed an appointment time ever. You would think that someone would be managing operations & notice that a customer has Not made a required appointment & contact that customer. Appalling! Not to mention the unaccomadating manner of the staff member & him nonchalantly dismissing his company's oversight
After reading the reviews, I had been on my guard, ready to be cheated and swindled. Nevertheless, the team at the Everett, Washington branch of Cruise America were considerate and even went out of their way to get us ready for our trip.
Maintenance was no trouble, once we got into the rhythm of it: Fill water, attach drain hose, black water out, brown water out, and rinse. Facilities on the road varied, but we always found a way.
A very, very bad experience. I've never seen a RV sales. like this. We rented the car very quickly. We thought we saw the one we rented. It was totally wrong!!! After an incredible five week trip through the American west, we returned the camper with no problems whatsoever. What an experience: exploring the world with my family, experiencing new things every day, knowing that we would always be sleeping in the comfort of our adopted home. The kids loved it and so did my wife and I.
The overworked team at Cruise America did their absolute best to make our trip amazing.
